SOLID | Walls and Partitions

NOVATOP SOLID components are large-format solid cross-laminated timber panels made from dried spruce slats assembled in layers with perpendicular grain orientation. The number of layers can differ and determines the final thickness of the panel. Slats are bonded on all faces using a polyurethane adhesive which ensures excellent stability in all dimensions.

ELEMENT Ceilings and Roofs

NOVATOP ELEMENT are hollow, large-format components featuring a sophisticated ribbed structure and exceptional rigidity in both axes. Due to their low weight and high load-bearing capacity, they offer an ideal solution for load-bearing floors, ceilings, and roofs. The cavities between ribs can be packed with thermal, fire, or acoustic insulation and can be prepared for the routing of cables, pipes, and conduits.

Applications
Load-bearing floors, ceilings, and roofs
Low energy and passive houses

Qualities
Visible, Construction (non-visible)

Length
Standard 6m, maximum 12m.

Width
690mm, 1030mm, 2090mm, 2450mm.

Height
160mm, 180mm, 200mm, 220mm, 240mm, 280mm, 300mm, 320mm

OPEN | Custom Elements

NOVATOP OPEN elements consist of a solid load-bearing panel onto which beams are attached. Reinforcing ribs are attached around openings and the perimeter and the dimensions and spacing of the beams can be varied based on project requirements. OPEN elements can be closed with a diffusionally open (breathable) material and the cavities between beams can be filled with a variety of insulation types.

STATIC | Roof Overhangs

STATIC elements are large five-layer panels consisting of two parallel surface layers on each side and a middle layer perpendicular to the surface layers. Each layer is composed of solid spruce with a variable thickness; this determines the overall height of the panel. STATIC elements have extremely high static load bearing capacity and excellent resistance to tensile and compressive stress, making them ideal for applications which require increased static load-bearing demands.

ACOUSTIC | Architectural Acoustics

NOVATOP ACOUSTIC panels are designed to improve acoustic comfort, reduce reverberation, increase acoustic clarity, and reduce the external and internal noise associated with enclosed spaces. The panels are effective at absorbing sound from a very wide tonal range and combine functional acoustic insulation with aesthetically pleasing interior design.

The panels are made from a solid three-layer board and can be supplemented with acoustic insulation materials. When installed, the panels are attached to a lattice grid or metal suspension system, creating an air gap which significantly improves acoustic insulation.
